The Devlin way is a new path
We’re all Devlins if we want.
.
The two most important concepts to live by are curiosity and trust.
You need both the succeed at life
.
Trust in yourself works. But is hard to maintain alone.
Trust requires being established and deep trust requires maintenance.
Some friends wil always be there.
But they’re rare and awesome
Value them if contact is spotty.
Value maintains everything
.
Curiosity
Trust
Maintained by value (esoteric and interpersonal)
.
Trust
.
Trust is essential but only works if value is involved
.
Sometimes I don’t like something but still value it.
Don’t marry someone like that
But FFS be more flexible about who you like and what you like about them.
Because it’s the trust that matters.
And valuing it.
.
If someone is an asshole (sorta) but you trust aer with every element of your life? Marry aer. Because you will seriously value aer.
Well when is comes to marriage
.
NEVER marry someone who doesn’t value you.
.
(You’ll probably like aer enough if ae values you)
.
Also helps if sex is compatible or a non issue – which requires experience or a good book, and those exist) And good sex requires trust.
.
As I was getting to.
.
If you trust aer that much it’s specifically because they won’t screw with your head. Personality can be rough around the edges.
Sometimes it’s cute
(If ae stops being upset at kind giggles)
.
Value
.
Like seriously stop being assholes and start valuing flaws if not destructive of trust.
.
.
My pantheon is: Abba (God, the ultimate one true) Nepenthe, Iris, Bran and Spider.
.
Which you can view as Abba’s faces if you need to.
The boss and middle management.
Just convenient mental organization.
All the other gods are personal culture on a global scale.
Or decide which when you need to, if any, and when.
.
And I’m an overly curious Sorceress.
.
.
Hopefully I’ve got you covered as far as emotional labor can go – as much as I can.
I’ll do my best to figure shit out and explain it. I have no kids but am still a 49 year old grandmother
Because frankly some of us need to understand before emotional labor it helps.
So with any luck
I got you.
It’s okay. I’ve got you.
.
.
.
To remind you of the basics of physical health. (Strong body-healthy mind)
Standing does help.
So does hygiene
Sleep
Reasonable food.
Lemon tea (with actual lemon juice)
Exercise – Belly dance in particular.
Meditation – coloring books with colorful pencils is a good basic start and fall back
(Yeah the right food and exercise help., so does losing weight – if you need to)
Watch the sugar.
Al sounds like new age crap but is always used for a good reason.
.
Later I’ll write the list of food that helps your brain recover.
.
Some good ingredients for essential hydration:
Bag of Black, orange spice tea opened and dumped into a decent filter.
Add Ginger powder and Paprika powder.
Brew for 4 minutes
Pour into lemon juice (bottled pure)
Sweetened with either pure liquid monk fruit or honey depending on availability or if you are a bit unwell (then use honey).
.
I’m currently having it for my regular HO2 requirement.
.
.
My creed has been altered.
(Fucking value it and others!)
Being curious is taken as a given.
And:
Confidence requires acceptance
Acceptance requires knowledge of self
Knowledge of self leads to courage.
Courage breeds compassion
Compassion generates trust
Trust creates respect
Respect will get you loyalty
Loyalty must be managed by wisdom
Wisdom requires tenacity
Tenacity requires hope
Hope will see you through
.
.
.
If my path of faith is one you want to organize around. You can. Call your priestesses grandmother.
But you shouldn’t need a subculture to benefit.
If you want to, sure. Groups can help.
But frankly I’d rather not.
.
And this is Just the rebar I’m resting three books on.
.
(It takes a lot to analyze, develop, and explain what becomes simple when you understand
